Jonathan Umfleet 1969-2023

With heavy hearts, the Board of Directors of the Chehalem Valley Sportsman Club must share that the Club’s President, Jonathan Umfleet, passed away on Tuesday May 9th. Jonathan served as President for 27 years and was, without a doubt, the Club’s strongest advocate and most dedicated volunteer. He worked tirelessly to make CVSC the safe and welcoming shooting range it is today. He was personal friends with every member of the Board, as well as many of the club’s members and shooters, and will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life for Jonathan is scheduled to be held on Saturday June 3rd at 10AM in the Bauman Auditorium at George Fox University in Newberg.

Please come out and lend a hand or a shovel to help keep the range looking good. Starts at 8 and ends at noon. Actually if you have a weedeater, we could use some help keeping the blackberries under control.

We have reached our membership capacity for 2023.

Membership is full for 2022.

We will accept new members for 2023 on December 21, 2022.

The last day to renew is Wednesday, December 15. Either you may drop off your renewal form along with payment and proof of NRA membership at our renewal event from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Newberg Public Safety Building or it has to be postmarked on that day or you may renew online until 7:30pm.
