2024 gate keys are usually sent out in batches once a week. When you receive your gate key depends on how you renewed.
Those who renewed online will typically get their new gate key within two weeks. One week for the all volunteer staff to prepare a batch of keys to go out and one week for USPS to accept and deliver the key to you.
If you renewed by downloading the renewal form and mailing it to the CVSC PO Box, expect your new gate key in about three weeks. One week for USPS to deliver your hardcopy application to the CVSC PO Box, one week to process the batch of keys and one week for USPS to accept and deliver the key to you. But, the mail in process isn’t perfect. If USPS loses your renewal form on the way to the CVSC PO Box, we have no way of knowing it was lost. If your renewal form never arrives, it never happened. You could spend an extra $5.00 and send it registered mail to get confirmation of delivery. Or, you can spend nothing extra, cut a weeks time off and renew online.
